BV Investment Partners’ PetroSkills Acquires JMC
BOSTON, December 04, 2012 – BV Investment Partners (“BV”), a middle-market private equity firm investing in the information and business services and communications sectors, today announced that its Fund VII portfolio company PetroSkills LLC, a leading provider of information and competency-based training solutions for energy companies worldwide, has acquired John M. Campbell & Co. (“JMC”), one of the most distinguished providers of Facilities Engineering training solutions in the oil and gas industry.
The acquisition of JMC expands PetroSkills’ technical content and training programs, historically focused on serving engineers within the exploration and production sector, into the significantly broader facilities engineering sector. The acquisition enhances PetroSkills’ leading position in the market as energy companies seek providers with global scale, premium content, and multi-channel delivery technologies in order to meet the demands of the “Big Crew Change” and the industry’s need for ongoing safety and technical training.
